Halfway House Sessions – Fort Frances

Whilst on tour with fellow Halfway House alums Chamberlin – Chicago’s Fort Frances were kind enough to swing by Stone House Recording to play a few songs for us. Influences include Wilco, Josh Ritter, The Jayhawks and The Beatles though if your a fan of Midwestern folk/rock – then you’ll most certainly enjoy this band. And this session.

Two of the three tracks come from their debut album The Atlas with the third being an unreleased tune.

Also – check out this Simon & Garfunkel cover ‘The Only Living Boy In New York’ which the band just recorded:

Many of you who reside here in Grand Rapids have probably already encountered this in your news feed during the last few days.

For my money – this piece is more convincing than that LipDub as far as attracting potential visitors.

Happy Friday.
